Habitat Energy is optimizing the 50MW/50MWh Byrd Ranch battery storage project on behalf of Glidepath Power Solutions.

Located in Sweeny, Texas, the asset was commissioned in Habitat Energy’s Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) in July 2023 and is now providing vital services to help ensure the reliability and stability of the ERCOT grid.

Habitat Energy is optimizing these assets using a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning forecasting tools, optimization algorithms, and a full commercial trading team as the “human-in-the-loop” to provide oversight, feedback, and context to the automated platform.
