Prospect battery energy storage system is one of two projects Habitat Energy is optimizing on behalf of Glidepath Power Solutions. The 10MW/10MWh asset was commissioned in Habitat Energy’s Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) in July 2023 and is now providing vital services to help ensure the reliability and stability of the ERCOT grid, which has been facing increasingly challenging weather conditions. 

Habitat Energy is optimizing the battery using a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning forecasting tools, optimization algorithms, and a full commercial trading team as the “human-in-the-loop” to provide oversight, feedback, and context to the automated platform. This combination of advanced analytics and subject matter expertise ensures the highest returns while complying with each client’s unique market, physical, and commercial preferences.
